I help busy professionals who are overwhelmed or overworked to finally break free of burnout.
I’m am a passionate and experienced burnout reversal public speaker and Holistic Leadership Coach (see my separate page on Holistic Leadership Coaching).
My talks are not your average generic wellbeing talks we have heard before.
My experience has shown me one thing, we are all humans, we are all susceptible to pressure and broadly we all face the same challenges, from a burnout perspective.
As a leader myself, I have worked tirelessly to understand how to reverse and prevent burnout for optimal personal, culture and employee performance.
I think I have found an answer.
The impact of Adrenal Fatigue & The Window of Tolerance - Dan Seigel 1999
I suffered chronic burnout for 20 years and didn’t know it! I worked tremendously hard in fast paced highly commercial environments in such industries as travel, health, financial services, restaurants and hotels. I suffered this burnout whilst supporting 100’s of others managing their own burnout whilst being Board member and HR Director.
I talk to audiences big or small, face to face, virtually, or by recorded video content and one to one as a Holistic Leadership Coach.
Adrenal fatigue is a term used in alternative medicine to describe a collection of nonspecific symptoms, such as fatigue, body aches, nervousness, sleep disturbances, and digestive problems, which are attributed to chronic stress and the overstimulation of the adrenal glands.
Chronic stress leads to dysregulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, which governs the body's stress response, resulting in reduced production of adrenal hormones such as cortisol.
The "Window of Tolerance" is a concept introduced by Dr. Dan Siegel, a clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine and a well-known expert in the field of interpersonal neurobiology.
Window of Tolerance is depicted as a metaphorical window between two extremes of arousal: hyperarousal (overstimulation) and hypoarousal (understimulation). When individuals are within their Window of Tolerance, they are in a state of optimal arousal, characterized by a sense of calm, alertness, and responsiveness. They can engage in problem-solving, emotional regulation, and social interaction effectively.
